In Greece, a woman filed for divorce after asking ChatGPT to predict her husband’s future by reading coffee grounds. She uploaded a photo of his coffee cup and requested an AI reading.

The chatbot responded that her husband was going to have a romantic relationship with a younger woman who, according to the AI, intended to destroy their family. ChatGPT even went as far as describing the supposed lover’s physical appearance.

The husband said he laughed when he heard it – but his wife took the answer seriously. One day, she asked him to leave and told their children they were getting divorced.

Despite the husband’s efforts to save their 12-year marriage, the couple eventually separated for good.

This bizarre case has sparked intense discussion across social media. Many joked that AI is now not only replacing journalists and artists, but also fortune tellers — and in some cases, even spouses.
